Are the sessions organized into different tracks?

Yes. For more details about the FICO World tracks, see the agenda.

How long are the sessions?
See the agenda for detailed information, but most sessions last 60 to 90 minutes.

What happened to InterACT?
InterACT has evolved into FICO World. In March 2009, Fair Isaac Corporation became FICO, and with this change we also decided to rejuvenate our annual conference. The event continues to be FICO’s global, flagship yearly conference in which we heavily invest our time and expertise to make the event a success for all attendees.

Is meeting space available for ancillary meetings at the InterContinental Miami?
Unfortunately, there is no ancillary space available at the InterContinental Miami; however, we do offer private consultation time with FICO experts.

Are there translation services available at any of the sessions?
All presentations given in the sessions will be in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish and Portuguese in the general sessions as well as in two of the breakout tracks specified on the agenda.

Will session presentations be available after the conference?
Following the FICO World 2010 conference, you will be notified via email when the PDF versions of the presentations are available online.

What is the closest airport?
The closest airport is the Miami International Airport (MIA), only 7.5 miles away. The Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) is 25 miles away.

What kind of weather should I anticipate?
The Florida climate is mostly sunny all year round. In April, the average temperature is in the comfortable mid-to-high 60s.

What if I have special dietary needs?
Please indicate any special dietary requests in the comment section provided during the registration process. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs.

What is the attire for FICO World 2010?
Business casual attire is appropriate for all workshops and sessions. Please bring a jacket in case of cool room temperatures.

What social activities and meals are included in the conference fees?
A full conference pass includes:

  • All breakout sessions and discussion groups Tuesday, April 13 through Friday, April 16, 2010
  • Breakfasts on Wednesday, April 14 through Friday, April 16, 2010
  • Lunches on Tuesday, April 13 through Friday, April 16, 2010
  • Welcome reception on Tuesday, April 13, 2010
  • FICO World Party on Wednesday, April 14, 2010

What types of payment do you accept for the FICO World registration fees?
All registration fees for FICO World 2010 are in US dollars. Three forms of payment are accepted: credit or debit cards (American Express, MasterCard, and Visa), wire transfers and checks.

Does the registration fee include air transportation and hotel accommodations?
All air transportation and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee and are not included in the conference fees.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Yes. After you register online, you will receive an automated email confirming your registration.

How do I access my FICO World 2010 registration previously submitted?
Your email conference registration has a link you can click to access your registration in order to make edits.

How do I have my name removed from the mailing list?
To request the removal of your name from future FICO World communications (by email or mail), send an email to ficoworld@fico.com  specifying your name, company name and mailing or email address.

Where do I pick up my conference pass?
You may pick up your conference pass and materials beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 12, on the second level of the InterContinental Miami.

What are the on-site registration hours at FICO World 2010?
Registration will be open during the following hours:

  • Monday, April 12, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 13, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  
  • Wednesday, April 14, 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 15, 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, April 16, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

How can I get a formal invitation letter for my visa application?
Once you have registered and paid your registration fees in full, you may request a letter from the FICO World 2010 Registration Team by contacting us at ficoworld@fico.com. If you do not receive a visa in time to travel to the United States for FICO World 2010, your registration fees will be fully refunded.

If I am unable to attend FICO World 2010, can I send a substitute?

What is the attire for the FICO World Party?
Casual evening wear is appropriate.

Can I bring a guest to the FICO World Party?
To secure permission to bring a guest, please email ficoworld@fico.com. While your guest is welcome at the FICO World Party, the guest party pass does not include access to any sessions, breakfasts or lunches, or any other activities that are reserved for attendees with full conference pass. No one under age 21 will be admitted to the FICO World party on a guest pass.
