Shell, in collaboration with FICO and Yokogawa, leveraged the FICO® Xpress Optimization Suite to enhance its global operations. The resulting Platform for Advanced Control and Estimation (PACE) integrates the FICO® Xpress Solver for real-time optimization of complex, large-scale processes across assets like LNG and chemical plants. By using FICO® Xpress SLP and Xpress Optimizer, PACE automates control, reduces process variability, improves reliability, and supports Shell’s sustainability and decarbonization objectives while optimizing economic performance.
