Verifying the Installation

The final stage is to verify that Xpress Insight was correctly installed and configured.
  1. Open a browser and enter the URL http://localhost:8860/insight.
    The Xpress Insight log in page is displayed.
  2. Log in with the username and password of admin and admin123.
    Your Home page is displayed.
  3. Click Upload App.
    Your browser's Open page is displayed.
  4. Navigate to the folder <XpressDir>\examples\insight\tableau\.
    Where <XpressDir> is the Xpress Insight installation folder.
  5. Open the flowshop.zip file.
    The Flow Shop demo icon is displayed on the Home page.
  6. Click on the Flow Shop demo icon to display its App page.
  7. Click on the Shelf below the banner area of the App page.
    The Scenario Explorer opens.
  8. Select a scenario and click Close.
  9. If the scenario is not loaded with data (it displays a icon), open its drop-down menu and select Load.
  10. When the data is loaded, open the scenario's drop-down menu and select Run.
If the installation was a success, the Tableau view will be displayed when the scenario is finished running.
