Installing FICO® Xpress on Microsoft® Windows®

Ensure that you have the correct version of FICO® Xpress for the FICO® Xpress Insight version that you are installing. Xpress Insight 5,1 uses Xpress 9,4 and the developer binaries (dso/) from Xpress Insight Developer Kit 5,1 (IDK).
  1. Obtain the Xpress installer—the file is xpX.Y_win_x86_64_setup.exe, where X and Y are version numbers.
  2. Run the setup file.
    If you are a Symantec user, click Allow this file to proceed.
  3. Select Static Licensing.
  4. Click No for hardware dongle support.
  5. Click Yes for Kalis support.
  6. Accept all the other default settings to complete the installation.
  7. Copy your license file xpauth.xpr to C:\xpressmp\bin.
  8. Add binaries for Xpress Insight 5 to your Xpress installation.
    1. Open the IDK and copy the <IDK_Dir>\dso folder.
    2. Paste the folder and files into the Xpress folder, for example C:\xpressmp. Click yes to confirm that the existing dso folder and files should be overwritten.
  9. Restart the machine and return to these instructions after your machine has been restarted.
  10. Download the Xpress Insight Developer Kit ZIP file.
  11. Unzip the contents of the archive to the installation directory of Xpress (C:/xpressmp). Confirm any requests to overwrite files.
