problem.getIndexFromName
Purpose
This subroutine is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Use problem.getIndex instead.
Returns the index for a specified row or column name.
Returns the index for a specified row or column name.
Synopsis
ind = problem.getIndexFromName(type, name)
Arguments

String containing name of the item sought.

Return value

ind

The row or column index number. A value of -1 will be returned if the row or column does not exist. |
Example
The following example retrieves the index of column "
xnew":
p = xpress.problem()
x = p.addVariable(name='xnew')
[...]
print("variable's index: ", p.getIndexFromName(xpress.Namespaces.COLUMN, 'xnew'))
