Ab September 2019 müssen Banken und andere Zahlungsdienstleister SCA verwenden, um mehr Transaktionen abzusichern. To do this, PSPs will need to secure each applicable transaction by getting their customers to verify their identities using two factors each from different categories:

  • Inherence — something they are, for example, by completing a biometric check
  • Possession — something they have, for example, by verifying a device such as their mobile phone
  • Knowledge — something they know, for example, a password
