Ask the Right Questions About the CARD Act Impact

Steps for issuers to more quickly meet new regulations and simultaneously find ways to regenerate profit


The upcoming Credit CARD Act presents issuers with not only an immense and

expensive compliance challenge, but also a serious threat to profitability. FICO

research has estimated that, on average, mere compliance with the Act could reduce

an organization’s revenue by as much as 50 %.

As issuers identify and modify operational areas that are currently non-compliant with

the new law, they should also examine where and how much the Act will impact

revenue, and how they can reengineer practices to drive new profit streams and

business growth.
