Artificial intelligence needs ethical guard rails - BI-Scout - German
Ethical aspects have so far played almost no role in the use of AI
The EU wants to regulate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) with a law on the "regulation of automated decision-making systems”. A draft for this has already been worked out. The plan: The greater the influence of the AI model on the life of one or more people, the higher the regulatory requirements for the use and development of the AI model should be. If the law is then not complied with, there is a risk of enormous penalties for companies: up to 6 percent of annual sales. In addition, according to the draft law, AI models in the area of critical infrastructures or similar high-risk areas should be subject to a permit requirement.
