Avnet Unit Selects Fair Isaac Rules Management Solution to Power Customer Incentive Program

(Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) - Fair Isaac Corporation (NYSE:FIC), a leading provider of analytics and decision management technology, today announced that a business unit of Avnet (NYSE:AVT), one of the world's largest global technology distributors, has adopted Fair Isaac's Blaze Advisor™ business rules management system as the rules engine for its Rebate Management System. Avnet selected the Blaze Advisor system to improve scalability, reduce IT support and provide increased speed to its customer incentive application.

The Avnet Rebate Management System is an online tool that provides value-added resellers with information on manufacturers' rebate and incentive programs and insight into how the partners are tracking against targets. Avnet adopted a rules-based approach to address changes in incentive programs offered by Avnet and its core vendors. Avnet's value-added reseller partners are able to access the Avnet Rebate Management System to learn about their exact position in meeting their targets, bonus opportunities, and rebates that they will receive.

Leveraging Fair Isaac's Blaze Advisor system has enabled Avnet to quickly implement changes from a supplier and reduce the time of implementing new incentive programs from months to a couple of weeks. As the engine of the Avnet Rebate Management System, the solution sifts through thousands of line items to provide Avnet value-added resellers with a view of how their latest sale is impacting their calculated rebate.
