The first product of its kind, Decision Simulator enables users to compare alternative versions of decision services to determine which will achieve the best possible result. Most tools today focus on the raw outcome, whereas Decision Simulator focuses on business metrics that gauge real business performance. Using Decision Simulator, users are able to segment and sample simulation data, generate standard or customized reports, analyze the impact of hypothetical rule changes and ultimately select the best approach before deployment, resulting in dramatically more cost-effective decisions.
"Our customers have been asking for a way to ascertain that they're deploying the best possible rules-based decisions," said Mike Gordon, vice president at Fair Isaac. "Decision Simulator complements Blaze Advisor rules maintenance applications (RMAs), enabling users to evaluate all their options quickly, in ways no other solution can, so they can make and implement the most effective decisions expediently and cost-effectively."
"In a challenging, hypercompetitive business environment, the cost of sub-optimal decisions can be expensive," said Jim Sinur, research vice president, Gartner. "The availability of a tool that gives business users greater confidence and better outcomes from their decisions is an important and highly relevant innovation."
Decision Simulator is available immediately as an optional add-on module to the recently released version 6.6 of the Fair Isaac Blaze Advisor BRMS.
