Will Lansing of FICO will be a keynote speaker at the first biannual Montana High Tech Jobs Summit in September
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Steve Daines today announced that Chief Executive Officer of FICO, Will Lansing, will deliver a keynote address at the first biannual Montana High Tech Jobs Summit in Bozeman.
"Montana is one of the fastest growing technology hubs in the western U.S. It’s clear that people want to be able to work where they love to live and technology advancements are making that possible,” Lansing stated. "The Montana High Tech Jobs Summit is a great way to bring together experienced professionals to talk about how Montana can feed off of this growing trend to create more good-paying tech jobs."
"It is a great opportunity to have Will Lansing join us for the first Montana High Tech Jobs Summit and share his insight into the workings and outlook for the tech industry," said Daines. "Will also knows firsthand how to grow technology jobs right here in Montana. I enjoyed working alongside Will at RightNow Technologies — we share an optimism about the potential of technology to create jobs and other opportunities for the people of Montana. Summit participants are in for an interesting and exciting program."
Lansing served as a director at Bozeman-based RightNow Technologies while Daines served as a Vice President at the company. Before becoming the CEO of FICO in 2012, Lansing’s 30-year career in the technology industry also included top leadership positions at InfoSpace, ValueVision Media, General Atlantic Partners and NBC Internet, among others.
The Montana High Tech Jobs Summit will be held in Bozeman from September 13-14 at Montana State University. It will serve as a unique opportunity to bring together the nation’s tech leaders in the hub of Montana’s growing technology sector and discuss ways to create more good-paying Montana tech jobs.
The Summit is co-sponsored by Daines, the MSU Alumni Foundation, the Bipartisan Policy Center, the Montana Chamber Foundation, the Montana High Tech Business Alliance and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
