MPS/LP Parameters
If you are solving an MPS/LP problem, some additional parameters are available.
You can set most Xpress Optimizer controls as parameters with names beginning XPRS_ or XSLP_. For example, XPRS_CUTSTRATEGY. Refer to the Xpress Optimizer Reference Guide for full details.
Several other parameters are specific to MPS/LP problems:
- PROBLEM_FORMAT: This indicates the format of your optimization problem. If it is not set, it defaults to MPS - other valid values are:
- MPS: MPS or XMPS format.
- MPS.GZ: Compressed MPS or XMPS format.
- LP: LP format.
- LP.GZ: Compressed LP format.
- OBJECTIVE_SENSE: Indicates whether the objective function should be minimized or maximized. Valid values are:
- MINIMIZE
- MAXIMIZE
- DEFAULT: Takes the value as specified in the MPS or LP file. MINIMIZE if unspecified.
- SOLUTION_FORMAT: Indicates the format in which you wish to download results:
- SLX: SLX format.
- SLX.GZ: Compressed SLX format.
