Testing LDAP Configuration

Test the LDAP user authentication.
  1. From any of the main pages within the Web Admin client, select Users from the header bar to access the List Users page.
  2. Click Add User.
  3. Enter the username of a valid user within LDAP, assign them an appropriate Authority group and click Save Changes. If LDAP is correctly configured, the user will save successfully. Otherwise an error will be displayed indicating why the user was not created.
  4. (Optional) If the user was successfully created the authentication can be checked by logging into the Web client - http://<hostname>:8860/insight (where <hostname> is the computer hosting Xpress Insight Server) as this newly created user in Xpress Insight.
