Purpose
Convert a text buffer to UTF-8.
Synopsis
int XNLSconvbuffrom(int eid, char **srcstart, char *srcend, char **dststart, char *dstend, int flags);
Arguments
eid 
Encoding ID of the source
srcstart 
Reference to a pointer at the beginning of the input buffer
srcend 
Pointer to the character after the end of the input buffer
dststart 
Reference to a pointer at the beginning of the output buffer
dstend 
Pointer to the character after the end of the output buffer
flags 
Conversion flags (can be combined):
XNLS_UTF_FLAG_STRICT 
Fail in case of invalid sequence (otherwise skip it)
XNLS_UTF_FLAG_PARTIAL 
Stop and return XNLS_CONV_PARTIAL when buffer ends on an incomplete sequence (instead of failing)
Return value
XNLS_CONV_OK 
Function executed sucessfully
XNLS_CONV_PARTIAL 
Input buffer terminates on an incomplete sequence (process stopped at the beginning of the sequence)
XNLS_CONV_DSTOUT 
Output buffer not large enough
XNLS_CONV_FAIL 
Process stopped at an invalid sequence
Further information
The arguments srcstart and dststart are updated such that they point to the byte following the decoded sequence (input buffer) or the first unused byte (output buffer) after the function returns.
