Notes
|
Update rows are an integral part of the augmented matrix used to create linear approximations of the nonlinear problem. However, if determining rows are present, then it is possible for some updated values to be calculated during cascading, and the corresponding update rows are then not required. When SLP variables have explicit bounds, and particularly when step bounding is enforced, update rows become important to the solutions actually obtained. It is therefore normal practice to delay update rows for only a few initial SLP iterations.
Update rows can only be delayed for variables which are not structural (that is, they do not have explicit coefficients in the original problem) and for which determining rows are provided. |
