The Basic Operation of the DMP Component

This section describes the basic operation of Xpress Workbench on the FICO Analytic Cloud (FAC).

The login URL can be found under the Configuration option from the DMP solution, including the Xpress Workbench component. Single Sign-On will take the user straight to the dashboard page of the application where any available projects will be listed.

Users will have the Create Project option available from the dashboard page. This button creates a new project containing the files for a minimal Xpress Insight application.

Complete the following steps to create a new project from existing files stored on your local computer:

  1. Click Create Project.
  2. Enter a name for your project and click Save.
  3. Click the project name to open it.
  4. In the file tree, select the files and folders that were created by default by holding the Ctrl key and clicking each of them:
    • client_resources
    • model_resources
    • source
    • application.xml
  5. Right-click on the selected files and click Delete in the menu that appears.
  6. Locate the files you want to upload using your computer's file explorer.
    • On Windows, locate the files using File Explorer.
    • On macOS, locate the files using Finder.
  7. Drag the files from your computer's file explorer onto the project folder in the Xpress Workbench file tree.
Note In Google Chrome, you can drag all the files and folders from your computer into Xpress Workbench in a single action. Internet Explorer 11 and Mozilla Firefox only allow a single file to be uploaded at one time.
