Managing a Solution

As mentioned previously, the user who creates a Solution assumes the Administrator role for the Solution.
You must be the Solution Administrator to perform these tasks.

Add a Solution

You must be logged into the FICO Analytic Cloud (FAC) to manage your solution.

  1. In the Solutions page, click the NEW SOLUTION button.
  2. In the dialog box, enter the Solution Name and an optional Solution Description.
  3. Click CREATE.
    The new solution is shown in the list of Solutions.

Deleting a Solution

You may need to delete a Solution after it has successfully been exported and imported into a new target environment.

  1. In the list of Solutions, right click on the Solution Name and select Delete. You can also select the Solution in the list and click the Delete icon.
  2. Confirm the deletion in the dialog box, click DELETE SOLUTION.

Importing a Solution

The target environment must be specified when a Solution is exported. Previously exported Solutions can then be imported into the correct target environment.

  1. In the Solutions page, click the down arrow in the NEW SOLUTION button and select Import Solution in the drop-down list.
  2. In the Import Solution dialog:
    • Enter a Name for the Solution and enter an optional Solution Description.
    • Click the BROWSE button and navigate to an exported Solution. Ensure the selected file was exported specifically for your environment.
    • Click IMPORT.

Exporting a Solution

Solutions are exported to migrate them between environments, such as when moving through the development lifecycle.

  1. In the list of Solutions, right click on the Solution Name and select Export.
  2. In the dialog box, select the target environment. This value will be added to the exported file to ensure the export is correctly configured.
  3. Click CONTINUE. The Solution is exported to your selected browser download location.

Renaming a Solution

If you use a standardized naming convention, you may need to rename a solution after it has migrated between development environments.

  1. In the list of Solutions, right click on the Solution Name and select Edit. You can also select the Solution in the list and click the Edit icon.
  2. In the dialog box, edit the Name field and click SAVE.
