Installing FICO Xpress on Windows

FICO® Xpress is a pre-requisite of FICO® Xpress Insight.

Installing FICO Xpress on Windows

Before you begin, ensure that you have the correct version of FICO Xpress for the version of FICO Xpress Insight that you are installing. FICO Xpress Insight 4.53 uses FICO Xpress 8.8.

FICO Xpress Insight is not supported on Mac.

  1. Obtain the FICO Xpress software installer—the file xpX.Y_win_x86_64_setup.exe, where X and Y are version numbers.
  2. Run the setup file.
    If you are a Symantec user, click Allow this file to proceed.
  3. Select Static Licensing.
  4. Click No for hardware dongle support.
  5. Click Yes for Kalis support.
  6. Accept all the other default settings to complete the installation.
    Important If you are prompted to restart your machine, click No.
  7. Copy your license file xpauth.xpr to C:\xpressmp\bin.

You can now go on to install FICO Xpress Insight as described in the next section.

Installing FICO Xpress on Mac OSX

FICO Xpress is supported on MAC OSX.

FICO Decision Optimizer is not supported on Mac.

  1. Obtain the FICO Xpress Mac software installer.
  2. Mount the setup .dmg file.
  3. In the Installer window, drag the FICO® Xpress icon to the Applications folder.
  4. When the installation is complete, unmount the FICO Xpress Installer by dragging it to the Bin.
    FICO Xpress and FICO Xpress Workbench are installed in the Applications Folder.
  5. Your license file xpauth.xpr must be added to an editable folder. Create a new folder in <HOME>/Documents/ named FICO Xpress Config and copy the licence file into this folder.
