Installing FICO Xpress Insight

Use the information in this section to install FICO® Xpress Insight. FICO® Xpress Insight is a 64-bit application and can only be installed on a 64-bit Windows system. For more on Supported Platforms, refer to the FICO® Xpress Insight Installation Guide.
Before you begin, ensure that you correctly installed the 64-bit version of FICO® Xpress as described in the previous section. Java 11 is required. FICO® Xpress Insight supports any OpenJDK. FICO recommends Amazon Corretto. This can be verified as follows:
  1. Open a Command Prompt.
  2. Type the following command: java -version.
  3. A correct version of Java should match the highlighted portions of the following example output:
    java version "11.0.2" 2019-01-15 LTS
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.2+9-LTS)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.2+9-LTS, mixed mode)
    

Once you have FICO® Xpress and Java 11 installed you can proceed with the following instructions to install FICO® Xpress Insight:

  1. Obtain the FICO® Xpress Insight 4.53 software installer.
  2. Run the setup file.
    If you are a Symantec user, click Allow this file to proceed.
  3. Select the default installation directory (XPRESSDIR).
  4. Select all components on the Custom Setup page.
  5. Accept the localhost default when prompted to enter the hostname/IP address of the FICO® Xpress Insight Server.

You can now continue and optionally install Tableau for FICO as described in the next section.
