Working with Folders

You can organize your scenarios for an app into different folders. You can create and move folders using the Scenario Explorer. You can change the location of folders and scenarios using their Open Menu icon or from within the Scenarios Explorer.
Complete the following tasks to create folders and to organize your folders and scenarios. Each of the following steps are optional.
  1. To create folders:
    1. Open the Scenario Explorer.
    2. Click New folder.
    3. Change the properties. After each change, click Save for the property.
      Folder Properties
      Property Description
      Name Click the name field and enter a new name.
      Sharing Click the Open Menu icon for Sharing and select one of the following:
      • Private: Only you can use.
      • Full access: All users can use the folder.
      • Shared read only: All users can view the folder and its contents, but only you can change the content and properties of the folder.
      Check Apply to this folder and all its content if you want all child folders and the scenarios within the folder and child folders assigned the same sharing property.
      Owner Click the Open Menu icon for Owner and select a user. Check Apply to this folder and all its content if you want all child folders and the scenarios within the folder and child folders assigned the same sharing property.
      Location Click the Open Menu icon for Location, and select the folder in which you want the new folder to reside.
    4. Click Close.
  2. To change the properties of an existing folder:
    1. Open the Scenario Explorer.
    2. From the folder's Open Menu icon, click Properties.
    3. Make any changes defined in the Folder Properties table above.
  3. To navigate to other folders:
    1. Open the Scenario Explorer.
      When you first open the Scenario Explorer, the scenarios and folders in the app root are shown.
    2. Navigate to other folders:
      • Click a folder name to open a folder and view the scenarios or other folders within the folder.
      • Click the forward slash (/) to go back to the previous folder.
    3. Click Close.
  4. To move a scenario to a different folder, either from the shelf or from the Scenario Explorer, click the scenario's Open Menu icon, click Properties and use Location to selected the folder where you want the scenario to move, click Save, and click Close.
