Tags and Attributes
All tags and logic attributes, when viewed in the code editor, are prefixed with vdl- so that they are easy to identify and do not conflict with current or future HTML tags and attributes.
Logic attributes are VDL attributes that can be used on any tag—they can be used in standard HTML elements as well as VDL tags.
Note that VDL tags must have closing tags specified in their markup.
Some VDL tags, such as <vdl-section>, have attributes to customize their behavior. These attributes within VDL tags are not prefixed.
For detailed information on all available VDL tags and attributes, see the Xpress Insight VDL Reference.
Element Embedding
The View Designer applies the following rules when adding elements to the artboard.
The top row specifies the Target elements (on the
artboard)—the vertical axis specifies the component that is being dragged from the
Palette.
