Introduction to FICO® Xpress Insight
An optimization model defines a set of input entities to receive scenario data and a set of result entities that will be populated with the optimization solution. The solution is the set of values representing the decisions identified by the optimization process and other data synthesized from these values. The model contains a set of constraints that place restrictions on what is a valid solution to the optimization model.
A scenario contains the input data and results data from the model. The result data section is present if the scenario has been run. If the scenario has not been loaded, the input data section will be empty.
The app is the parent object and it contains one model and one or more scenarios.
The Xpress Insight application has a client-server architecture and supports a web client.
