Introduction to Xpress Insight
The following section briefly describes Xpress Insight when deployed on the FICO Analytic Cloud (FAC).
FICO® Xpress Insight provides a complete optimization-centric, collaborative application with a customizable user interface. Xpress Insight is provisioned as a Decision Management Platform (DMP) solution.
Xpress Insight is ideal for solution builders who need to deploy an optimization application to the FAC.
The basic Xpress Insight system is comprised of the Xpress Insight Server, Web Client and a local optimization service. Additional optimization services can be requested for increased capacity.

Note Where solution requirements for optimization are limited to model execution, you should consider using the
FICO Xpress Executor component. This component exposes REST and SOAP web service endpoints for the concurrent execution of Xpress Mosel models. See the
Xpress Executor DMP Component User Guide for details.

Note When an Xpress solution is created on the FICO Analytic Cloud (FAC), it has an empty un-managed database provisioned at the solution level that is available exclusively for development (Scenario data, Tableau mirror data, and all decision models are held separately). All Xpress components (Insight, Workbench, and Executor) deployed in the same solution at the same life-cycle stage will share this solution database. Previously, each component had an independent custom database.
