Monitoring and Logging

A DMP installation provides tooling to help you monitor the state of the Kubernetes cluster and the DMP components that run on it:

• Prometheus for generating and querying time-series metrics.
• Grafana for creating dashboards from the Prometheus metrics.
• Kibana, fluentd, and Elasticsearch for managing and accessing logs.

Note Installing the monitoring tools is optional. Logs are also accessible from DMP Manager and kubectl. Refer to the DMP Installation Guide for additional information.

The tools are accessed through a web browser. You must provide users with access rights to the user interfaces. Authorized users can access the tools at:

• https://prometheus.<domain_name>
• https://grafana.<domain_name>
• https://kibana.<domain_name>

where <domain_name> is the domain name used by the installation.
