Initializing help system before first use

Schema Creation

The schema should be created using the following command:
CREATE DATABASE insight DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 COLLATE utf8mb4_bin;

Schema User

Xpress Insight expects to fully manage the schema supplied to it. This capability requires a user which has been granted all privileges on the schema.

The schema user should be created using the following command:
CREATE USER 'insight'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'myPasswordHere';
GRANT ALL ON insight.* TO 'insight'@'localhost';
Note: Use @'localhost' if MySQL and Xpress Insight are hosted on the same machine. Otherwise you need to either identify the host or use '%' to mean all hosts.
If communication between Insight and the database is to be encrypted using SSL then this database user should also be configured to require SSL. To configure the user you have created to require SSL using the following statement:
ALTER USER 'insight'@'localhost' REQUIRE SSL;
For more on SSL, see the later section on Configuring a Secure Connection.
