Initializing help system before first use

Configuring a Decision Central Integration Account

An account with super administrator permissions is required.
Complete the previous section, Installing Decision Central for Insight Integration prior to beginning this task.

Configure Decision Central

Complete these tasks while logged in to Decision Central.

  1. Log in to Decision Central at http://<servername>:8080/dc.
  2. Go to Administration > Users and click CREATE USER.
  3. In the dialog, enter the following values:
    Field Value
    User ID svcintegration
    First Name Integration
    Last Name Service Account
    Email Address <anything>
    Local Login Allow
    Password <choose a password>
    Status Active
  4. Click CREATE.
  5. In the rightmost Actions column, click on the ellipses (…) for that user and then click Roles. Assign the role Super Administrator access.
  6. Click SAVE.

Configure Xpress Insight

Complete these tasks by logging in to Xpress Insight.

  1. Log in to Xpress Insight at http://<servername>:8860.
  2. Click the ADMIN link in the blue banner and log in as an administrator.
  3. When you have logged in to the Xpress Insight Admin app, click the WORKFLOW link in the blue banner.
  4. Click the EDIT button. Enter the following values:
    Field Value
    Enabled Select the checkbox
    Server url http://<servername>:8080
    User ID svcintegration
    Change Password Use the password configured in step 3 of Configure Decision Central (above)
    Confirm Password Repeat the password configured in step 3 of Configure Decision Central (above)
  5. Click SAVE.
