Application Tiles

HOME page app tiles identify the apps that are available to you. There are four operations you can perform from the tile menu.
The figure shows a typical HOME page app tile.

The tile title text shows the app name, which can be changed—in the figure, this part is set to Campaign Conversion. This enables you to keep track of multiple apps that were perhaps based on a single prototypical app.

The other text on the tile shows the app version information and cannot be edited. In the example figure, this value is Version: 0.0.0 Campaign Conversion

Editing the App Name

Perform the following steps to edit an app name.
  1. Click the icon in the top right corner of tile to display the sub-menu.

The Home Page App Tile is Highlighted
  2. Select Rename.
  3. In the subsequent dialog, overtype the app name and click RENAME.

Upgrading an App

Upgrading the app may result in scenario data loss if the model schema has changed. Use this option when your app developer releases a new version of your app.
  1. Click the icon in the top right corner of tile to display the sub-menu.
  2. Select Upgrade.
  3. In the subsequent dialog, navigate to the new version of your app, provided as a file with a .zip or .insight extension. Click UPLOAD APP.

The icon representing the app is loaded to your Home page.

Exporting an App

Use the export option to create a file with the extension .insight that contains all the scenarios in the app.
  1. Click the icon in the top right corner of a tile to display the sub-menu.
  2. Select Export.
  3. In the subsequent dialog, click EXPORT.

The file is exported to the server and a link is displayed to enable you to download the file via the browser. Larger files should be downloaded by accessing the filesystem.

Exporting an Empty App

Use the export option to create a file with the extension .insight that contains no scenarios or folders in the app. App attachments are included.
  1. Click the icon in the top right corner of a tile to display the sub-menu.
  2. Select Export > Export; - w/o scenarios.
  3. In the subsequent dialog, click EXPORT.

The file is exported to the server and a link is displayed to enable you to download the file via the browser. Larger files should be downloaded by accessing the filesystem.

Deleting an App

Selecting this option will delete the App and remove all the scenarios within it. Consider exporting the App as a backup before deleting. To remove a Scenario from the App, see Deleting Scenarios.
  1. Click the icon in the top right corner of tile to display the sub-menu.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. In the subsequent dialog, click DELETE.
