Configuring Tableau for Xpress Insight on Windows

To configure Tableau, you must be logged in to the target Windows machine with full Administrator privileges.

Tableau for Xpress Insight must be configured after Tableau Server has been installed and must be performed on the same machine as the Tableau installation.

  1. Run Tableau configuration for Xpress Insight.exe.
  2. This installer configures Tableau for use by Xpress Insight. Click Next.
  3. Select the destination folder. Click Next.
    Tableau can take several minutes to install.
  4. Select whether Tableau should be installed on the same machine as Xpress Insight, or on a different machine. For more on distributed tableau servers, see https://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/server/en-us/distrib_requ.htm.
  5. When configuration is complete, click Finish to close the installer.
