Installing Tableau

Use the information in this section to install a version of Tableau that works with Xpress Insight 4.60.

Note: Tableau integration is not available with a Community licence.
Before you begin, ensure you have a version of Tableau compatible with the version of Xpress Insight you are installing. Xpress Insight 4.60 is compatible with Tableau 2022.1 and above. It is also advisable that you have your Tableau License key ready (unless you are just evaluating Tableau).

The FICO installer for Xpress Insight 4.60 installs the recommended version of Tableau (2023.3).

  1. Obtain the Tableau server software installer, selecting the 64-bit version: Tableau X.Y.Z (64-bit).exe where X, Y and Z are version numbers.
  2. Run the setup file and click Setup.
    This may take several minutes.
    Important: Do not reboot if prompted to do so by the Tableau installer.
  3. Make a note of the port number if it does not default to 80.

  4. Accept the default values and click OK .
    Once the Tableau Server installation completes, it will open a web page where you can create the Tableau administration user account.
  5. Create a Tableau user account with a username of admin and a password of admin123.
  6. When prompted to select the system configuration, select The same machine.
  7. When you have installed the Tableau Server software, reboot your machine.
