Use a vdl-chart-axis tag to configure each axis on the chart.

| axis | Specify the axis to configure. Accepts one of: "x", "y", "y2". y2 will create an axis on the right-side of the chart. | since 4.8 | required | |

| color | Color for the axis title and ticks, defaults to black. This is useful when configuring the y2 axis on the right-side of the chart. Can be any valid CSS color string. | since 4.8 | ||
| label-autorotate | By default the axis labels could be rotated automatically by the chart component, if that fits the text better. The labels could remain horizontal or could be rotated 45º or 90º depending on the space available and length of the labels. Setting this attribute to "false" will force the labels on the x-axis to always be displayed horizontally. Accepts "true" or "false". This attribute is only allowed on the x-axis. | since 5.3 | ||
| margin-autosize | This will cause the x-axis margin to resize to fit text and could also result in word-breaks being added to labels that are non-numerical so they better fit. It is useful for charts that are likely to have long text for the ticks. By default this is set to "false" and text may be truncated. Accepts "true" or "false".
