Customizing Execution Resource Groups

You can customize the execution resource groups defined by models in order to take advantage of the resources available to your workers at run time.
To customize an execution resource group:
  1. From the ADMIN interface, click Execution Resource Groups.
The Execution Resource Groups page opens.
The page shows a table that lists all apps and the execution resource groups used in their models. For each resource group, the table shows the following information:
    • App: The app name.
    • Name: The name of the resource group.
    • Default Threads: The default number of threads specified in the model for the resource group.
    • Threads: The number of threads currently configured for the resource group. This is initially the same as the default threads.
    • Default Memory: The default amount of memory specified in the model for the resource group.
    • Memory: The amount of memory currently configured for the resource group. This is initially the same as the default memory.
    • Read-only: Whether the resource group can be customized. Only custom resource groups defined in models can be customized; the DEFAULT resource group, as well as resource groups generated for models that do not specify resource groups, are read-only.
    • Description: The description of the resource group, as specified in the model.
  2. Click on the name of any resource group that is not read-only.
The Edit Execution Resource Group window opens.

The fields show the minimum and default values defined for the resource group in the model, as well as the resources currently allocated.

  3. Edit the values in the Threads and Memory fields as needed to best make use of the available resources.
You can increase or decrease the values specified, but you cannot specify a value lower than the minimum allowed by the model. (The minimum and default fields are not editable.)
  4. Click Save.
