Querying Runtime Resources

The execution resource group specified for an execution mode defines the default resources (threads and memory) to be allocated for jobs using the execution mode. However, these defaults can be modified by an administrator, subject to the minimum specified by the resource group definition. Your model can query the actual resource limits that are available at run time.
  1. To query runtime resources, use the insightgetresourcelimits function:
    resourceLimits := insightgetresourcelimits
    writeln("Available threads: ", resourceLimits.threads)
    writeln("Available memory: ", resourceLimits.memory
    This function returns a record that contains 2 values:
    • threads: an integer specifying the number of available threads
    • memory: an integer specifying the available memory, in mibibytes (Mi)
