Introduction to VDL Actions

Each vdl action initiates a single operation, such as running a scenario, updating an entity, and displaying a message.
There are five categories of vdl action shown here grouped by functionality. They are:
Model Execution
  • Load a model scenario
  • Run a model scenario
  • Run first model scenario on the shelf
  • Run second model scenario on the shelf
  • Run all selected model scenarios
Messages and Dialog windows
  • Info message
  • Dynamic info message
  • Error message
  • Dynamic error message
  • Show value info message
  • Show confirm dialog
  • Show nested confirm dialog
  • Confirm with custom attributes
  • Continue with choice
Entity editing
  • Toggle Boolean Scalar
  • Remove Scalar Value
  • Update entity array with indices
  • Remove Array Value
  • Update parameter
  • Remove Param Value
  • Remove Set Value
Variable editing
  • Set a value using a dynamic expression
  • Increment a Value
Attachment Management
  • Open the dialog for uploading a tagged attachment
  • Download a Scenario attachment identified by a tag
  • Open the dialog for creating a tagged attachment
  • Manage scenario and app level attachments
  • Open the scenario attachment editor to edit scenario attachments
  • Edit scenario and app attachment properties with or without field
