Administering the Tableau Integration on FICO Platform

Tableau is a powerful business intelligence service that allows you to analyze many different types of structured data using a greatly expanded range of chart and graph formats to create your reports. Tableau visualizations can be incorporated into the custom user interfaces of Xpress Insight apps to report on scenario data and deployed on FICO Platform.

  • Configuring the Tableau integration
    The mirror database schema for an app act like a short-term cache of scenario data in a format that can be consumed by Tableau. The schema is populated with scenario data on demand when a view makes a request. Tableau query and rendering time will potentially decrease as the volume of scenario data in the mirror schema increases. Therefore, Insight aggressively evicts data based on rules that can be tuned with configuration properties.
  • Validating the Tableau integration
    Xpress Insight on Platform has built-in health checks which validate that the system has the expected integration with the AWS Aurora database service and the Tableau service.
