Working with the Decision Table Editor

A Decision Table is a component that takes values as named input parameters and, when invoked, it returns values as output parameters. Linked Actions can then be performed depending on the condition. Decision tables provide a means to generate (or look up) the value of an output data item based on the value of one or more data items. Frequently the output of a decision table serves as input into another component.

The Decision Table Editor enables you to create and edit decision table components, using a table editor to edit the values, or a graphical editor to manipulate values by moving points and/or lines on a chart.

The Decision Table Editor appears in a modal dialog. The figure below shows how the decision table editor looks when you create a new decision table.
