Web Services

FICO provides resources to help you implement web services that communicate with Xpress Insight.

Working with the REST API on FICO® Platform

Xpress Workbench offers a web services interface to the server via a REST API.
  • The online Insight REST API topic details how to access the REST API against a server that is not hosted on FICO® Platform.
  • The embedded help topic in the Xpress Insight Developer Guide provides examples. This topic is found in the following location:
    • <installdir > \examples\insight
  • The example has also been extended to demonstrate how to authenticate against FICO® Platform.
    • \developer_guide\chapter8\rest-client-example

Component Web Services

FICO® Platform Components provide web services that can be called by client applications needing to implement available services. Component Web Services expose the functionality of a Component when invoked. Components acquired from the CATALOG can expose services as SOAP or REST web service endpoints.

You can access the URLs for the Web Service endpoints in any of the environments from the View Links command. View Links is only available if your Component is included in a Solution.

Decision Model and Notation (DMN) web services

Decision Model and Notation (DMN) web services expose the functionality of a process when invoked, allowing administration of a Solution. Refer to the FICO® Platform Web Services documentation for additional information.
