New Functionality and Changes Introduced with Decision Optimizer 8.1
This release builds on the recent DO8.0 release as we drive the next evolution of Decision Optimization, focused on ease of use and innovation.
The focus for the v 8.1 release has been updating the Decision Tree Editor and improving usability on Input Data Analysis and Reports.
Added in Decision Optimizer 8.1
This release will require users to update to Xpress 8.8 and Xpress Insight 4.52. Consequently, this mean that DO8.1 will also now support Tableau for FICO 2019.2 & 2019.3.
Binning Library
- Import user defined bin labels from a DO6 project.
- Reuse existing binning definition when creating a new tree template from a base tree.
New Decision Tree Editor
To improve the user experience in developing and editing Decision Trees within Decision Optimizer, we’ve introduced a new tree editor module with an updated user interface.
- Usability across different the views, including easier selection of the different views and view options, counts of tree nodes, predictors and profile variables.
- Tree development with the addition of a percentage split algorithm, allowing users to split selected variables into 2 to 100 equally distributed splits, which will help assess the population distribution.
- User control of decision tree export formats including support for XML, JSON, and SAS based formats.
- Performance, particularly with large decisions tree.
Input Data View Enhancements
Users are now provided with a new drop down Data Processing view, that supports all the Sampling & Processing options, and provides Processed Data data analysis tables that show the un-weighted and weighted statistics, so users can confirm changes have been applied.
Reports Enhancements
A number of report improvements have been implemented on standard reports.
- New unweighted and weighted frequency metrics have been added to detailed analysis tables, to help validate that scenarios have been run on the appropriate samples.
- Now displays the metric values for all enabled constraints on all Simulation and Optimization scenarios, identifying those that are enabled and those provided “for information”.
- These now allow the user to select multiple segments to be shown side by side. Also, to improve the focus of this report, the detailed analysis section is now populated only for the cells selected by the user.
