Introduction to FICO Decision Optimizer

The following section briefly describes Decision Optimizer when deployed on the FICO® Analytic Cloud (FAC).

Decision Optimizer is part of FICO® Platform—a comprehensive family of products that makes it quicker and easier to glean insights from data and develop decision services that operationalize those insights.

Decision Optimizer brings an especially fruitful approach to organizations where business decisions:
  • Can be made based on an analysis of historical trends and behavior analysis.
  • Need to generate optimal results from complex variables, accommodating real-world uncertainty and business constraints.
  • Involve rules that are numerous, complex or subject to frequent change.
  • May be subject to audit or review by business partners or regulatory agencies.
  • Need to be made and applied consistently through multiple systems across locations, lines of business or communications channels.

Decision Optimizer is underpinned by the modern, web-based technology stack of FICO Xpress Insight. Powered by FICO® Xpress Optimization , Xpress Insight enables businesses to develop and deploy optimization models as powerful apps. Decision Optimizer itself is an Xpress Insight app, and can be used by analysts and domain experts without programming knowledge.
