Initializing help system before first use

Publishing from FICO® Xpress Workbench™

You can model your business problem in FICO® Xpress Workbench™ and publish apps directly from this IDE. For Xpress Insight 5, the REST API credentials must be added to the OS credential store. For more information, see Providing the REST API credentials and Generating REST API credentials.
  1. In your browser, go to http://localhost:8080/insight and log in to Xpress Insight with your user name and password.
  2. To the right of your user name, click the drop-down and inspect or generate your user-specific REST API credentials.
  3. Add your credentials to your OS credential store.
    • On Windows systems, open the Windows Credential Manager. Select Windows Credentials and then click Add a generic credential.
    • On MacOS systems, use Keychain Access.
  4. Enter the URL for Xpress Insight in the format ficoxpress:<insight URL> (for example, ficoxpress:http://localhost:8080).
  5. For the user name and password, use the client id and client secret from Xpress Insight.
  6. Open Xpress Workbench with an Insight project. Publish to Xpress Insight. When the wizard opens, click ADD to add a new server URL such as http://localhost:8080.
If publishing fails, check that your credentials are valid and your configuration in the credential store is correct.
