Developing an Xpress Insight App for FICO® Platform using R
To use R in Mosel and Python apps running on Xpress Insight on FICO® Platform, you must declare your dependency on R by using Conda, in the same way as for Python and Java.
For R, if you only need to use packages that are available in the Conda channels, you must declare a dependency on r_base
and your required packages within the environment.yml
file. Conda has an R channel and also more R packages on the conda-forge channel.
Some R packages are not available via Conda. Xpress Insight supports the use of packages from CRAN. To obtain packages from CRAN, your Xpress Insight app must declare an additional package dependency in the environment.yml file: r::r-env
. The app should then also supply a DESCRIPTION
file as a model resource listing the R packages that your app depends on.
environment.yml
declaring
r_base
and
r_env
packages from the R channel is as follows:
dependencies:
- python=3.10.8
- r::r-base
- r::r-renv
Depends:
R (>= 3.1)
