This section describes how you can edit a scenario's properties from the Scenario Manager.
You can only edit the properties of a scenario if you are its owner or if you have full access to the scenario.
In many cases you would edit the properties of a scenario to change the scenario's name, add notes, or to move it to a different folder. The actions available depend on the status of the item selected in the right hand pane.
Certain custom scenario types might not permit some operations. For more information, see Custom Scenario Types in the Xpress Insight Mosel Developer Guide.
- If the APP is not open, use the HOME page to select the app in which you want to edit the properties of a scenario.
- Click the shelf to open the Scenario Manager.
- In the folder list (displayed in the left pane) select the folder containing the scenarios you wish to use.
- In the right hand pane, select the scenario you want to edit. Right click on the scenario to display the menu and select Properties.
Go to step 3.
- If the APP is open, identify the scenario on the shelf to edit. Open the scenario menu by clicking the drop down arrow on the right and select Manage.
- The Scenario Manager opens.
- To change the scenario name, click Rename.
- To change how the scenario is shared between users, click Properties. Select one of the following options in the list.
In the Scenario dialog, users with the correct permissions can edit the following fields:
- Scenario Name - Click the name displayed at the top of the dialog and edit the test. Click SAVE when complete.
- Notes - Click the text Edit the scenario notes and update the text. Click SAVE when complete.
- Sharing - Select an option from the drop-down list:
- Private—No sharing with other users.
- Shared read only—Other users can view the scenario but cannot modify or delete it.
- Full access—Other users can view, modify, and delete the scenario.
Click SAVE when complete.
- Owner - Select one of the options from the drop-down list. Click SAVE when complete.
- Click CLOSE to close the Scenario dialog.
