Changing Database Passwords

If you are using MySQL database persistence, the passwords for the MySQL database are stored in files that are part of the Docker configuration. It is recommended that these passwords be changed after deployment.
To change the database passwords:
  1. Navigate to the root directory for the configuration you are using (for example, insight-local-filesystem):
  2. Edit the following files:
    • db_root_password.txt: The database root password
    • db_password.txt: The password used by Insight to access the database
Each password must be specified as a single word or string, with no line breaks.
  3. Stop and restart the containers.
