problem.scale

Purpose
Re-scales the current matrix.
Topic area
Numerics
Synopsis
problem.scale(rowscale, colscale)
Arguments
rowscale
Integer array of size ROWS containing the powers of 2 with which to scale the rows, or None if not required.
colscale
Integer array of size COLS containing the powers of 2 with which to scale the columns, or None if not required.
Related controls

Type of scaling.

Further information
1. This function currently does not apply to general nonlinear problems.
2. If rowscale and colscale are both non- None then they will be used to scale the matrix. Otherwise the matrix will be scaled according to the control SCALING. This routine may be useful when the current matrix has been modified by calls to routines such as problem.chgMCoef and problem.addRows.
3. Any existing scaling will be replaced by the scaling specified by rowscale and colscale.
4. This function cannot be called while the current problem is being solved or when it is in an interrupted state. Use problem.postSolve to restore the problem to a non-solving state.
