New Functionality and Changes Introduced with Decision Optimizer 9.5

This release requires Xpress 9.8.1 or later and Xpress Insight 5.17 or later.

New Features and Changes

This release delivers enhancements in Tree Aware Optimization and reporting, as well as general performance improvements.

  • Tree Aware Optimization enhancements:
    • Support for simplification in trees generated from base trees
    • Improved optimization performance for trees with duplicate keys
    • Support for trees with only the root node
    • New export format of optimized trees as tables
  • Report enhancements:
    • Improved filters to list only populated items
    • Option to export all scenario configuration settings in a single file
    • Incremental Swap Set tables are now sorted as the explored values

Most dialogs can now be confirmed with the Enter key.

Defect Remediation

This release resolves the following issues:

  • Disconnected DIM nodes could be silently ignored
  • Summary Report speed improvement when processing scenarios with many sub-scenarios
  • Sub-branching base trees could fail for tree templates that included treatment constraints
  • Alignment of format for division-by-zero values in Treatment and Action Validation reports
  • Fixed export name for the Treatment Swap Set Detailed report and for the Mix reports
  • Support for automatic duplicate name handling when renaming projects
  • Automatic UI refresh upon scenario execution or configuration changes
  • Fixed handling of special characters in reports
  • Better color selection in the Outcome Report bar chart for improved readability
