App Tiles

App tiles on the Home page identify the apps that are available to you. There are four operations you can perform from the tile menu.
This figure shows a typical Home page app tile.

The tile title text shows the app name, which can be changed (in the figure, the title is set to Campaign Conversion). This enables you to keep track of multiple apps that were perhaps based on a single prototype.

The other text on the tile shows the app version information and cannot be edited. In the example figure, this value is Version: 0.0.0 Campaign Conversion.

Editing the App Name

You can edit the name of an app by following these steps:
  1. Click the menu icon in the top right corner of the tile to open the tile menu.

The Home Page App Tile is Highlighted
  2. Select Rename.
  3. In the Rename App dialog, edit the app name and then click Rename.

Upgrading an App

You can upgrade an app when the app developer releases a new version.
Note: Upgrading the app may result in scenario data loss if the model schema has changed.
To upgrade an app, follow these steps:
  1. Click the menu icon in the top right corner of the tile to open the tile menu.
  2. Select Upgrade.
  3. In the Upgrade App dialog, click Upload App. In the file dialog, select the new version of your app (provided as a file with a .zip or .insight extension).

The app is updated to the new version.

Exporting an App

You can export an app to create a file that contains all the scenarios in the app.
  1. Click the menu icon in the top right corner of a tile to open the tile menu.
  2. Select Export.
  3. A file with the .insight extension is exported to the server. When the export is complete, you can download the exported file by clicking the download icon. Larger files should be downloaded by accessing the filesystem.

Exporting an Empty App

You can export an app to a file that does not include scenarios or folders in the app. (App attachments are included.) To export an empty app, follow these steps:
  1. Click the menu icon in the top right corner of a tile to open the tile menu.
  2. Select Export without Scenarios.
  3. A file with the .insight extension is exported to the server. When the export is complete, you can download the exported file by clicking the download icon. Larger files should be downloaded by accessing the filesystem.

Deleting an App

You can delete an app, including all of the scenarios within it. Consider exporting the app as a backup before deleting it. (To remove a scenario from the app, see Deleting Scenarios.) To delete an app, follow these steps:
  1. Click the menu icon in the top right corner of the tile to open the tile menu.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. In the Delete App dialog, click Delete.
