problem.scale

Purpose
Re-scales the current matrix.
Topic areas
Numerics, Optimizer
Synopsis
problem.scale(rowscale, colscale)
Arguments
rowscale: Iterable[int]
Integer array of size ROWS containing the powers of 2 with which to scale the rows, or None if not required.
colscale: Iterable[int]
Integer array of size COLS containing the powers of 2 with which to scale the columns, or None if not required.
Related controls
Integer
Custom objective scaling factor.
Type of scaling.

Further information
1. This function currently does not apply to general nonlinear problems.
2. If rowscale and colscale are both None then the matrix will be scaled according to the current scaling controls ( SCALINGMETHOD, SCALINGORDER, SCALINGBIGM and SCALINGOPS). If rowscale or colscale or both are non- None, the values passed in those arrays will be used for scaling rows or columns or both, respectively.
3. Objective scaling is applied according to the control OBJSCALEFACTOR, independently of the rowscale and colscale arguments.
4. Any existing scaling will be replaced by the scaling specified by rowscale and colscale.
5. This function cannot be called while the current problem is being solved or when it is in an interrupted state. Use problem.postSolve to restore the problem to a non-solving state.
