Using the Attachment Editors

Xpress Insight enables you to interact with, manipulate and edit several attachment types, such as text files, decision trees, decision tables and so on.

This section describes how to use the various specialized editors. To access them, you can invoke the relevant editor via the attachments dialog, or they may be automatically or otherwise invoked by the Xpress Insight app you are using.

  • Manipulating Decision Trees
    Your Xpress Insight app may have been designed to enable you to manipulate decision trees. Equally, it is quite possible that your app does not use decision trees.
  • Working with the Text Editor
    A text editor is available as the default editor for equations, XML and PMML. Other specialized editors are available for components such as decision tables and decision trees, but you can also choose to edit them in the text editor as CSV or FSML/XML resources respectively.
  • Working with the Decision Table Editor
    The decision table editor is used for creating and editing decision table attachments. Decision tables provide a means to generate (or look up) the value of an output data item based on the value of one or more data items.
