Working With Tableau Views

You can use Tableau Views with Xpress Insight to enhance your view customizations and to export the views in different formats.

Tableau is an optional component that allows Tableau visualizations to integrate with the Xpress Insight user interface to create custom views for advanced reporting, such as, by exporting the view in a range of formats.

For apps that use Tableau, the drop-down list attached to the Action Menu icon contains a number of export, and other, options. These options are:
Option Action
Refresh Refreshes the current view. Any filters you have applied will be retained.
Export to PDF Exports the current view to a Portable Document Format file. This file can be read by third party software such as Adobe® Reader®.
Export to CSV Exports the current view to a Comma/Character-separated Values file. This type of file can be opened by any spreadsheet application.

A separate window will open showing the data allowing the user to download the content.

Export to Image Exports the current view to a Portable Network Graphic (png) format file.
Export to CrossTab Exports the current view to as a crosstab table. That is a table where the columns are separated by a Tab character. The data is exported in CSV format and downloaded to the client.
