Managing Users with LDAP
By default,
Xpress Insight authenticates users against credentials stored within the
Xpress Insight database.
User's passwords are persisted in a one-way encrypted form using SHA-256 hashing (1024 iterations and a random 8-byte random salt value).
To start Managing Users with LDAP, you must log in as an administrator.
- Log in to Xpress Insight, then click the ADMIN link at the top of the page.
- Log in to the Admin interface and click the LDAP link.
The LDAP Configuration page contains three pages:
- LDAP Configuration—manage integration between Xpress Insight and LDAP.
- Group Mappings—define which LDAP group membership rights are required to enable access to each Insight Authority Group.
- App Mappings—define which LDAP group membership rights are required to enable access to your Insight apps.
