Managing Users with LDAP

By default, Xpress Insight authenticates users against credentials stored within the Xpress Insight database. User's passwords are persisted in a one-way encrypted form using SHA-256 hashing (1024 iterations and a random 8-byte random salt value).
To start Managing Users with LDAP, you must log in as an administrator.
  1. Log in to Xpress Insight, then click the ADMIN link at the top of the page.
  2. Log in to the Admin interface and click the LDAP link.

The LDAP Configuration page contains three pages:
  • LDAP Configuration—manage integration between Xpress Insight and LDAP.
  • Group Mappings—define which LDAP group membership rights are required to enable access to each Insight Authority Group.
  • App Mappings—define which LDAP group membership rights are required to enable access to your Insight apps.
