An active scenario on the Shelf is one being displayed by the current View. Each View may show a different number of scenarios depending on its purpose.
A View accesses the list of scenarios on the shelf from left to right. By re-ordering the scenarios on the shelf you can promote a scenario so that it becomes one of the scenarios being displayed by the View. Most Views show a single scenario only, so the first (left-most) position on the shelf is the active one and any scenario moved into this position will then be displayed by that View.
- Select at least two scenarios in the Scenario Explorer.
If a scenario contains no data it is identified by a

icon and an information message is displayed.
In the following figure, the left scenario on the Shelf is the active one and has a white background. All other scenarios are inactive and displayed with gray backgrounds.
- Drag an inactive scenario and drop it to the left of the currently active scenario.
The scenario becomes active. The previously active scenario moves to the second position on the Shelf and is shown as inactive.
